DENVER, CO (WHBL) – After falling behind 3-0 in the first inning, the Milwaukee Brewers rallied for a 6-4 win over the Colorado Rockies Monday at Coors Field.
Adrian Houser started for the Brewers and gave up three runs, one earned, in that first inning. He then settled down and retired the final 15 batters he faced, pitching into the fifth inning and picking up the win when Milwaukee scored two runs in the 4th inning and four in the 6th.
The big blow was a three run homer from Victor Caratini, which gave the Brewers the lead.
Devin Williams pitched out of a bases loaded jam in the 8th and then locked it down in the 9th for his 10th save.
Milwaukee pulled to within two games of both San Diego and Philadelphia in the chase for the final wild card spot in the playoffs.
The Brewers and Rockies square off again Tuesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 7:05.
