MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers ended their homestand with a 6-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday afternoon at American Family Field.
Down 1-0 in the fifth inning, Milwaukee got an RBI double from Willy Adames. They added a single unearned run in the 6th with Omar Narvaez getting the RBI.
The Brewers then blew the game open with four runs in the 7th inning. Keston Hiura, Luis Urias, Garrett Mitchell and Christian Yelich all had RBI’s.
Freddy Peralta pitched five innings, giving up one run on two hits. Taylor Rogers, Brad Boxberger and Adrian Houser finished up.
Milwaukee, now 69-60, kept pace with St. Louis, San Diego and Philadelphia who all won.
The Brewers will begin a seven-game road trip beginning Thursday night in Arizona, where the Crew will begin a four-game series against the Diamondbacks. Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 8:05.
