MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2 on Tuesday night at American Family Field.
A Kolten Wong two-run homer produced the only runs for the Crew.
Jason Alexander started and went five innings, giving up one run with six strikeouts. Brad Boxberger took the loss in relief.
For the Pirates, Oneil Cruz hit an RBI single in the third inning and a run-scoring double in the eighth. He also broke a 2-all tie in the eighth when he scored from third as Rodolfo Castro drew a bases-loaded walk from Brad Boxberger.
Pittsburgh’s Mitch Keller struck out 10 and gave up two runs over six innings.
