MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers rallied late and beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-5 on Monday night at American Family Field.
Trailing 5-3, the newest Brewer, Garrett Mitchell, hit his first major league home run – a two run shot – that tied the game in the 8th inning. Keston Hiura then walked it off with a two run blast in the 9th.
Hunter Renfroe finished 3 of 4 with two RBIs and Willy Adames had three hits.
Corbin Burnes went six innings, giving up all five runs. Brent Suter delivered two scoreless innings and Devin Williams picked up the win with a scoreless 9th.
The Brewers have won three in a row and kept pace with the Cardinals and Padres, who both won.
Milwaukee hosts the Pirates again Tuesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 6:35.
