Maren Marie Beenen, 76, of Sheboygan, passed away at home on Friday, August 19, 2022, after losing her courageous battle with lung cancer.
Marie was born in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Dolly (Hazelton) Estergard. Both her parents passed away while she was just a teenager. Shortly after that, Marie met her soulmate Daniel Beenen in Milwaukee, and they were united in marriage in 1964. Together they raised their two daughters, Beverly and Laura. Marie was an incredible woman who cared for a lot of people, even through the tough times of her life. She was the owner and operator of Marie’s Auto Body and ran her business for almost 40 years in Milwaukee.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Beenen.
She is survived by her two daughters, Beverly Beenen and Laura Roberts; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Kenny Kocmoud, and Kallie and Kaden Beenen Norby; great-granddaughter, Emma Streblow and her brother Chuck Estergard and his wife Pam Estergard, whom she loved very much. Marie absolutely loved and adored her brother Chuck and his wife Pam. Marie is further survived by many nieces, nephews, including a nephew she was especially close with, Robert Estergard, son of Chuck and Pam Estergard. Marie is also survived by many of Daniel’s brothers, sisters, and their families. While she was especially close with Genevieve Beenen, her dear sister-in-law that she frequently referred to as “sister”, she loved each Beenen uniquely, and had a special bond with them.
Marie will be buried with her husband, Daniel, at Wildwood Cemetery.
