The biggest investment most people will ever make is worthy of careful preparation, but many looking to buy their first home often dive in without knowing what they’re in for. Consumer Credit Counseling Service wants to change that, so they’re offering a one-day class for first-time home buyers in September.
The class, to be held at the Mead Public Library on Saturday, September 17th from 9 a.m until 4 p.m., will give prospective homebuyers everything they need to know about the process from area experts.
Once completed, class grads will receive a certificate, and may then qualify for down-payment assistance, making that home-buying process even less of a stress.
The class is free, thanks to a City of Sheboygan Community Development Block Grant, and funding from Union Home Mortgage – The Wiltzius Team, an equal housing lender. But the class size is limited, and so advance registration is required by Monday, September 12th. Do do that, call Consumer Credit Counseling Service at 800-350-CCCS (2227).
