Two-and-a-half years into the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health is transitioning away from its singular focus on the SARS-CoV-2 Virus, and beginning to include other topics.
In its weekly update, the DPH said it will maintain its one-weekly email and full status updates on Fridays. But it will now begin to cover other Public Health related topics that may include Monkeypox, influenza and other content that benefit the community. The COVID-19 Dashboard will only be published on Fridays, and adjustments will be made on what is reported.
The weekly summary of COVID-19 shows 142 additional cases confirmed since last Friday, bringing the total count in Sheboygan County to 32,795. There were no additional deaths to add to the total of 279. There are 10 persons currently hospitalized in Sheboygan County, and six patients experienced their first hospitalization for COVID-19 symptoms, bringing that total to 1,301.
The rate of community transmission in Sheboygan County remains “Low”, with 151..73 new cases per 100,000 persons in the last 7 days. That’s down slightly from the previous week’s 153.46.
