- Sheboygan Falls, Head Coach: Christopher Zablocki; 2021 season record: 5-5 (4-3)
The Falcons are looking build off a great 2021 season where they extend their WIAA playoff appearance streak to 7 years (dating back to 2015), ultimately ending their season with a 59-0 loss to Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian in the first round. The Falcons play in one the tougher conferences in the state, the East Central Conference, where all but two teams out of the eight made the playoffs in 2021. Sheboygan Falls went 2-3 against playoff teams from the East Central Conference and their games ranged the gambit from super close, competitive games to being absolutely rocked as they were on the losing end three shutouts. The Falcons offense was able to muster 16.4 points per game last season, led by senior quarterback Charlie King who finished third the East Central Conference in passing yards (1,252) and passing touchdowns (11), whilst leading the conference with 139.1 passing yards per game. Sheboygan Fall’s pass first offense will be hurt by King’s graduation, plus the Falcons’ leading rusher Preston Miller (who was also the team’s leading tackler in 2021) and one of the team’s top receivers Gabe Hoffer also graduated last year. However, the team’s other two top receivers Reid Federer and Emmett Krauter will be returning for their senior seasons this year. Most of the linemen will be returning for their junior and senior seasons respectively, giving the Falcons’ stability in trenches that will be key in determining what is sure to be an interesting and hard fought 2022 campaign for Sheboygan Falls.
