Mark Kleinhans, age 77, of Plymouth, passed away on July 26, 2022, peacefully
surrounded by family.
He was born on March 18, 1945 in Sheboygan, a son of the late Wallace and Cora
(Kalk) Kleinhans.
Mark attended Acorn Elementary School and Plymouth High School and graduated
from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Agriculture. On April 26, 1968 he
married Linda Mae.
Mark was an entrepreneur from a young age. While working on the family farm, he
found a piece of gold in the cow pasture which initiated the start of his coin business,
the Coin Farm. During the winters when farming was slower, Mark would build a spec
house, this eventually turned into a full time business, Kleinhans Construction. Mark
developed many subdivisions around Plymouth, in addition to renovating Victorian
homes back to their glory. He took an interest in restoring Plymouth’s downtown in
addition to creating new businesses in the process. Mark and his wife Linda owned the
Plymouth Cheese Counter, Antoinette’s and Antonio’s, The Plymouth Inn, just to name
a few. Later in life Mark worked as a realtor for Pleasant View Realty.
Mark was a Sheboygan County Fair Board Member for many years. He enjoyed coin
collecting, antique collecting, dart ball, and watching his grandchildren’s sports and
activities.
He is survived by: His loving wife: Linda; Three daughters: Brenda (Chris) Dale of
Plymouth, Dena (Michael) Budrecki of Elkhart Lake, and Heather (Bill) Sunagel of
Plymouth; Son: Tate (Jackie) Kleinhans of Elkhart Lake; Grandchildren: Mason and
Bennet Dale, Tyler, Hazel and Asher Sunagel, Boden and Afina Budrecki, and Cylus
Kleinhans; Sister: Faye (Jim) Hughes; Brother: Wade (Gail) Kleinhans; In-laws: Linda
Kleinhans, Monica Kleinhans, Al (Mona) Rittenhouse, and Gladney Smith “Uncle Bud.”
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents: Wallace and Cora Kleinhans, and brothers:
Kurt and Reed Kleinhans.
The family would like to thank Sheboygan Senior Community for their amazing care and
support in his final days.
Following Mark’s wishes cremation has taken place and the family will have a private
celebration of his life.
