Following a near perfect beginning with a parade kicking off Sheboygan’s Independence Day celebration, weather was to have the last word on the day. The likelihood that storms would impact the area during, and leading up to, the fireworks led city officials to delay the display one day, scheduling the show for Tuesday, July 5 at 9:30 p.m.
Even though the fireworks were postponed, the Sheboygan Police Department said in its 5:48 p.m. release that “The band tent and food vendors at Deland Park will stay open until 9:30 tonight, and you are welcome to continue celebrating the 4th while staying dry under the tent.”
