Carita Kathryn Fisher, age 91, of Batavia, WI, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at
Songbird Pond Assisted Living in Plymouth.
She was born on December 7, 1930 in Oakfield, WI, a daughter of the late John and Lydia (Jacobs) Ogle.
Carita attended Oakfield Elementary School and graduated from Oakfield High School in 1948.
On July 8, 1950, she married Donald L. Fisher at St. James Catholic Church in Oakfield. The couple
resided in Oakfield after their marriage, Chilton for ten years, lived in Plymouth until 1971, and then in
Waldo until 2002 when they moved to Batavia. Her husband preceded her in death on September 23,
2013.
She was employed at Barker Lumber Company in Oakfield, Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton,
Equitable Reserve Association for over 25 years, and Waldo Utilities for 25 years until retiring in 2001.
Carita was a member of the Lady of the Lakes in Random Lake and also belonged to the Plymouth Jr.
Women’s Club, Women’s Fire Auxiliary, and the Daughters of American Revolution and was organist at
St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for many years. She also volunteered for the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts,
and Campfire Girls.
She enjoyed camping, golf, and spending as much time with her loving grandchildren, great-
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her eight children, Gary (Loretta) Fisher of Crivitz, Gene (Becky) Fisher of Plymouth, Jon
Sr. (Gayle) Fisher of Plymouth, Gayle (Randy) Flunker of Cascade, Janet Neerhof-Luedtke (Michael
Luedtke) of Plymouth, Jodi (John) White of Sheboygan, Greg (Sandy) Fisher of Waldo, Jera (Peter Sr.)
Thielmann of Glenbeulah; 20 grandchildren, Micah Fisher, Erika (Joe) Cafferty, Cheri (Tom) Meyer,
Christal (Mike) Mulder, Donald (Christie) Fisher, Jon Jr. (Lori) Fisher, Justin (Leah) Fisher, Trista Fisher,
Angela Flunker, Bill (Ashley) Flunker, Stacy (Andy) Hron, Katie Kimme (special friend Jared Biese),
Jonathon Kimme, Heather (James) Stead, Sarah (Luke) Wolf, Ben Fisher (fiancée Cheryl Warner), Peter
Thielmann Jr. (special friend Anne LeTendre), Joe (Nikki) Thielmann, Nate White (special friend Michele
Franti), and Ben (Katie) White; and proud grandmother to 27 great-grandchildren with three more on
the way and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law: Gloria Ogle of Fond du Lac, Harlyn and Arlene
Fisher of Fond du Lac, Leo and Lois Fisher of Oakfield, Lorna and Gene Boelk of Waupun, and Dorothy
and Larry Binning of Middleton, WI.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son-in-law, Paul Neerhof; brothers, Donald (Irma)
Roger (Hilda) and Gerald Ogle; and her sisters, Delores (Carroll) Peters and Mary Gilles.
Following Carita’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at St. Rose Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Carita’s name for Good Days Macular
Degeneration Foundation.

Carita was such a sweetheart, my fond memories of her are singing to her and her friends at Songbird pond in Plymouth Wisconsin. My wife Karen and I send our sincere condolences to her family and friends. She will be truly missed.
