The racetrack and grandstands at Sheboygan County Fair Park in Plymouth will be silent this weekend. It was supposed to be Fan Appreciation Night for fans of Plymouth Dirt Track Racing, but that can’t happen because of an accident last weekend.
Operators of the track report that during last Saturday’s race a car left the track, going up and over the fence. They report that the driver is OK, but the fence isn’t, and the parts needed to fix it haven’t arrived in time for repairs in advance of this weekend’s race. And so with the safety of fans and drivers in mind the event was cancelled.
Fans can now put July 9th on their calendar for the re-scheduled Fan Appreciation Night at the Plymouth Fairgrounds.
