There’ll be something new for riders of Sheboygan’s Shoreline Metro transit service in two weeks. It’s bright red, like a fast sports car, but slower than the usual bus; it’s brand new, but looks like something from one hundred years ago when cable cars traveled Sheboygan Streets.
Beginning Monday, June 20, The Harbor Centre Express route of Shoreline Metro will operate its brand-new trolley serving Sheboygan’s downtown, riverfront, south pier, Michigan Avenue and Harbor Centre Marina.
Shoreline Metro Director Derek Muench said that tourists and locals alike will have the opportunity to ride and walk while enjoying the sights and features of Sheboygan’s Harbor Centre district for as little as a dollar for the an entire day.
A Wisconsin product made by Hometown Trolley of Crandon, the Harbor Centre Express Trolley is accessible by those with disabilities, and will operate Mondays through Saturdays through September 3rd. You can find more info about the routes and hours of operation at shorelinemetro.com.
