MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers lost their third straight game on Sunday, losing to the San Diego Padres 6-4 in ten innings at American Family Field.
Jake Cronenwerth hit a three-run homer off Trevor Gott in the 10th inning.
The Brewers got two home runs from Kolten Wong including a two-run shot in the 8th that tied the game. Andrew McCutchen went 3 for 5 with an RBI.
Eric Lauer started and went six innings, giving up three runs on six hits with four strikeouts and two walks.
Josh Hader pitched a scoreless ninth – his 40th straight scoreless appearance dating back to last seaason. That ties a major league record. The last time he gave up a run was July 28, 2021.
The Brewers fall to 33-23 with the loss and have an off-day Monday before Philadelphia comes to Milwaukee for a three game series beginning Tuesday night.
The Brewers are expected to activate Willy Adames and Hunter Renfroe before Tuesday’s game.
