Joyce M. Federwisch, age 86, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2022 with her family by her side.
She was born on February 23, 1936 in Fond du Lac, WI, a daughter of the late Claudius and Lucille (Kohlmann) Sippel.
Joyce attended Payne School and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1954.
On June 28, 1958, she married Donald Federwisch at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The couple resided in the Plymouth area since their marriage. Donald preceded her in death on March 31, 2009.
Joyce took care of her six children and later in life worked at Twinbrook Cleaners. She was known as a seamstress to many in Plymouth. She was always willing to help out others and enjoyed volunteering.
She was a lifetime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church where she served on the Christian Women Guild, decorating committee, and as an usher. Joyce was also a member of the Plymouth VFW Women’s Auxiliary, where she served multiple positions including President, 4-H, and was superintendent of the flower building at the Sheboygan County Fair.
Joyce enjoyed gardening, watching racing, golfing, bowling, dartball, traveling, and attending all high school sports.
Survivors include her children, Sue (Mark) Schuricht of Elkhart Lake, Mike (Anne) Federwisch of San Jose, CA, Mark (Ann) Federwisch of Indianapolis, IN, Karen (Joe) Klopf of Sheboygan Falls, Julie Boldt of Sheboygan Falls, and Steve (Leah) Federwisch of Elkhart Lake; 18 grandchildren, Brian (Teresa) Schuricht, Robert Schuricht (fiancée Katey), Heidi (Brian) Kraus, Shelly (Jim) Cortez, Stephanie and Erik Federwisch, Ryan, Amy, Mary, and Jack Federwisch, Joey Klopf, Jennifer (Nick) Rudd, Jacklyn and Jonell Klopf, Jacob (Anna) Boldt, Derrick and Shannon Boldt, and Aaron Federwisch; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Alice Meyer of Plymouth; three brothers, Tom (Kay) Sippel of Plymouth, Joe Sippel of Kiel, and Bob (Mary) Sippel of Watertown; and sister-in-law, Gail Federwisch of Sheboygan Falls.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Arthur Federwisch, Irene (Don) Kobreek, Joe Meyer, and Sandy Sippel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday (June 7, 2022) at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday evening (June 6th) at the CHURCH from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM and again on Tuesday Morning (June 7th) at the CHURCH from 10:00 AM until time of Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Joyce’s name.
