David Austin VanNorwick, age 86, of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, May 29, 2022.
He was born on October 26, 1935 in Flint, Michigan, a son of the late Austin and Alice (Cross) VanNorwick.
Dave graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1954 and attended Central Michigan University. He worked at General Motors for 36 ½ years retiring in 1991.
Dave served in the United States Army from 1958-1960.
On September 29, 1962, he married Dianne Biggs in Swartz Creek, MI. Dave enjoyed reading, smoking his pipe, spending time with his family, and antique shopping. He was a member of the RS Prussia Club.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne; two children, Vickie (Scott) Caster and Scott (Julie) VanNorwick; six grandchildren, CJ (Monica) Caster, Brent Caster (Chrissy), Kyle Caster, Ryan Caster, Jacob VanNorwick, and Andrew VanNorwick; two great-grandchildren, Joslyn and Layla Caster; one brother, Jim VanNorwick; and special family friends, Bud and Ella Walker, grandkids, Celeste, Troy, Angella and their families.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Larry and John VanNorwick.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday (June 7, 2022) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be at Montrose Cemetery in Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
