(WHBL) – The top Republican in the Wisconsin Assembly says there should be a discussion about arming teachers after Texas’ school shooting.
Assembly Speaker Robin Vos says the idea of allowing teachers or other school staffers to carry guns ‘should be on the table.’ Vos said he’d also like to discuss having more police officers or armed guards at schools.
Governor Evers said he didn’t think teachers in the state would support the idea of packing a pistol in the classroom. The governor says he’d rather see lawmakers pass new background check laws instead.
