(WHBL) – Wisconsin’s Republican U.S. Senator is blaming Democrats on Capitol Hill for the delay in a school shooter law.
Senator Ron Johnson said on the floor of the U.S. Senate Wednesday that Democrats are holding-up the Luke and Alex School Safety Act. That would create a central database for parents, teachers, and schools to share the best practices for school safety and share opportunities for schools to get funding for school safety measures.
Johnson said he has no idea why Democrats are blocking the plan.
The School Safety Act came about after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman-Douglas High School in Florida back in 2018.
