SAN DIEGO, CA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers had numerous chances to put additional runs on the scoreboard but it was the Padres who came through in the 10th inning for a 3-2 win on Monday night at Petco Park.
Jose Azocar singled off Miguel Sanchez for the game winner after Milwaukee had the bases loaded and nobody out but failed to score in their half of the 10th. They also loaded the bases in the 4th and didn’t score.
Tyrone Taylor drove in both Milwaukee runs.
Adrian Houser started and went six innings, giving up one run on three hits. Hunter Renfroe left the game with an apparent hamstring injury.
Milwaukee was 2 for 13 with runners in scoring positions.
The two teams continue their series Tuesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 8:05.
