Sheboygan Police are crediting alert residents with enabling the apprehension of three juveniles connected to numerous thefts and three stolen vehicles.
Officers responded to the tip of suspicious activity in the 1400 block of Kentucky Avenue shortly before 11 PM Tuesday and discovered three Sheboygan juveniles in a vehicle that was reported stolen earlier in Green Bay. All three, a 14-year-old female, 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, had active apprehension requests from the Sheboygan County Department of Health and Human Services for violating the terms of their juvenile supervision. They’re now in the custody of the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department.
Police found a large amount of stolen property in the vehicle, some that was able to be linked to other thefts in Sheboygan earlier this month, and more charges are expected to be added to those now being considered by the District Attorney’s Office.
A common link in all thefts connected to these three individuals was that of unlocked vehicles with either valuables or keys left inside. The SPD is advising everyone to stay vigilant, lock your vehicle and remove keys and property, and report suspicious activity when it’s seen.
If you suspect you’re one of the victims of the group, or have video of a suspected theft, Sheboygan Police would like to hear from you at 920-459-3333.
