Beth Debra Ann Brown passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 unexpectedly in North Carolina.
She was born August 14, 1952 and raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin where she attended college before joining the Army as a Microbiologist. She later became an Officer rising to the rank of Major. She spent 22 years in the Army and Army Reserves. She served with distinction as a Logistics Officer conducting Forager exercises that took her to visit many countries.
When Beth retired from the military in 1993 she worked for the State of Florida Health Department retiring from there after 6 years. Her passion included cats, teddy bears and the Green Bay Packers. She started Serenity Acres Fur Ever (501C3), a sanctuary to maintain quality of life in a healthy home environment for senior, unadoptable and special needs cats with physical, behavioral, and medical conditions until the end of their life.
Beth is survived by her spouse, Sandi Sonagere-Brown of Waynesville, NC, sister Amy (David) Hoppe of Sheboygan, and many cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter & Betty Brown, grandparents Paul & Elizabeth Fibiger, Grandmother Charlotte Brown and Uncle Otto Wehmeyer, and other uncles/aunts, and cousins.
Services will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Friday, May 20, 2022. Visitation from 12 noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
