Another Sheboygan County highway will be getting a new surface within the next few years, and the Wisconsin DOT is holding a meeting to explain the scope and impacts of the project.
Highway 32 is targeted for the improvements, likely starting in 2025, although that date may be advanced if funding comes through earlier. The section between County Highway “D” in Cedar Grove and Highway 28 at Sheboygan Falls will involve resurfacing with new hot mix asphalt, replacing beam guards, reconstruction of curb ramps, and the replacement of five box culverts along the route. It’s anticipated that a full closure to through traffic would be imposed during culvert replacement, although access to properties and businesses would be maintained. The resurfacing would require flagging operations only, and regular highway traffic would be detoured using I-43.
A public meeting to discuss the project will be held online on Thursday, May 26th at 5 p.m.
