Reporting by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services indicated the increasing infections of COVID-19 in Wisconsin over the past week, but the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health had only one report, that of Monday, May 2nd. The remainder of the week was absent of data as the local department was aligning their reporting with the state. One week ago the DPH added 54 new cases, and a 19% increase in active cases was seen during that period with 208 cases being watched.
Wisconsin DHS data for Sheboygan County showed 14 more cases were added on Tuesday, 6 on Wednesday and another 11 on Thursday – the last day recorded – for another 31 cases during the week. And although the 7-day average of daily new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County most recently peaked at 21 on April 27, it declined to 14 by last Wednesday. The State didn’t record any Sheboygan County deaths last week. The CDC’s Level of Community Activity indicator in Sheboygan County remained “Low” to close last week, but had risen to “Medium” in Ozaukee County, while the statewide 7-day percent positive by test has been progressing upward since March 25th when it was 2.8%, and is now at 11.0%.
The County hasn’t indicated whether or not it would issue a report later Monday.
