MANITOWOC COUNTY I-43/HWY 147 INTERCHANGE TO CLOSE FOR 4 WEEKS

Motorists using Highway 147 at I-43 in Manitowoc County will need to deal with a 4-week detour beginning on Monday.

The Wisconsin DOT said that all ramps at I-43 and Wisconsin Highway 147 will close for construction beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday so that crews can do concrete base patching on those ramps.

Southbound traffic that normally uses 147 will exit at Highway 96 in Denmark and use County Highways “KB”, “R” and “T” to bypass the closure.  Northbound will exit at highway “K”, and then use “R” and “T” to get around the work.

Weather permitting the project should wrap up in early June.
