Alvin N. Steinke Jr., age 84, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022, with family by his side
at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
He was born on June 28, 1937, to the late Alvin Sr. and Mary (Cosgrove) Steinke.
On March 3, 1962, he married Joan Lorenz. She preceded him in death on November 10, 2012.
Alvin retired after working for 45 years at Borden’s in Plymouth.
He enjoyed antiquing, auctions, flea markets, garage sales, visiting people new and old, spending time
with his family, friends, and his many pets over the years.
He is survived by: Three daughters: Tammy (Kenny) Wolff of Rock Springs, WY, Carrie (Bernie Luedtke)
Coppersmith of Plymouth, WI, and Kathy Steinke of La Crosse, WI; Two grandchildren: Ashley (Brandon)
O’Donnell of Antioch, IL, and Samantha Stout of La Crosse, WI; Three great-grandchildren: Madison,
Alex, and Liam; Brother: Bill (Nancy) Steinke of Sheboygan, WI; Two sisters-in-law: Ceil Lorenz and
Virginia Lorenz, both of Sheboygan Falls, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many
friends.
Following Alvin’s wishes, no services or visitation will take place. Inurnment will be in the Plymouth
Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for
the wonderful care and compassion given to Alvin. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Alvin’s
name to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
