MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers mustered just three hits in a 2-0 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Sunday at American Family Field.
Tyrone Taylor recorded a double while Willy Adames and Omar Narvaez each added a single, providing the only Brewers’ base hits of the game.
Marcus Stroman picked up the win for the Cubs with five strikeouts and two hits allowed over seven innings.
Corbin Burnes also went seven innings, allowing four hits and two earned runs with ten strikeouts. He falls to 1-1 on the season.
Despite the loss, the Brewers are still in first place in the NL Central at 15-8. They’ll take Monday off before hosting Cincinnati on Tuesday to begin a three-game series against the Reds.
