A third person has died as the result of a head-on crash on Highway 57 near County “MM” last Saturday.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office on Friday said that George Francis Seibel of Saint Cloud has died of serious injuries he suffered in that accident. Another person in his southbound vehicle, Betty Mae Seibel, was pronounced dead at the scene along with Dorothy L. Friede of Adell who was driving her vehicle northbound at around 8:30 p.m. last Saturday. She apparently veered left of the centerline and struck Seibel’s vehicle head-on. Friede had earlier been reported missing after driving away from the Sheboygan Aldi’s at about 5:30 that evening, and was the subject of a public search. She reportedly suffered from Alzheimers and likely confused at the time.
Two other accidents without serious injuries occurred at the scene of the original incident within a short amount of time.
The accident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Sate Patrol.
