Denise Joy Heling went to be with her lord and savior on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Denise was born on July 23, 1942, in Sheboygan and lived there throughout her entire life. She
attended Trinity School, and Central High School. In 1958 she met her future husband Jim
Heling at a street dance. He looked at her and said, “That’s the girl I’m going to marry.” She
graduated from Central in 1960. After graduation, she worked for the Vollrath Company until
she married Jim in 1964 and started a family. She was able to be a stay-at-home parent when
her daughters were younger and was active volunteering in many different roles. As her family
got older, she went back into the work force and was employed at Southwest State Bank for
many years.
Denise was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed her
monthly outings with Red Hats, her “Beer Ladies” and Bridge Club gatherings, organizing her
Annual Class Reunions, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Throughout Denise’s life, her constants were her love for her husband, her children and
grandchildren, her lifelong friends, and her faith. Her family would like to thank both Pastor
Mech and Pastor Berg for taking the time to spend with Denise at her home when she could no
longer attend her beloved Trinity Lutheran Church.
Denise is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jim Heling; her three daughters, Dawn
(David) Oberle, Lisa (Dick) Daehnert and Noel (T.J.) Stephan; her grandchildren, Thomas,
Elizabeth and Caroline Oberle, Emilee (Matthew) Werner, Abbee and Joshua Daehnert, Skylar
and Riley Stephan; her great grandchild Brooks Werner, her sisters and other loving relatives.
Denise was preceded in death by her mother Marie Reimer and her sister Sharon Klein.
We want to give our sincere heartfelt thanks to Amanda, Heather, and the incredible staff at
Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the loving care they provided to Denise since
October. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Denise’s name to this incredible
organization or Trinity Lutheran Church.
A Celebration of Life for Denise will be held on Thursday, May 5 at 12:00 PM. at Trinity Lutheran
Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave. with visitation starting at 10:00 AM.
