COVID-19 is making another run on Sheboygan County, according to nearly all data coming from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health.
The coronavirus remains potentially deadly, as another Sheboygan County resident – someone in their 50s, became the 268th victim of the pandemic. Of the casualties so far, one was between 10 and 19 years old, one in their 20s, six in their 30s, nine were in their 40s, twenty in their 50s, forty-four in their 60s, seventy-one in their 70s, and one-hundred-sixteen were at least 80 years old.
16 new confirmed cases outnumbered the six recoveries – along with the death – to raise the active case count to 138, nine more than on Monday. The 7-day average of daily new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County was most recently calculated at 9.
Four persons received their first shot of vaccine in the last day, while another ten received their second dose. 18 more got their boosters in the last day. Last week only 241 doses in all were given in Sheboygan County. First-dose recipients number 72,615, or 63.0%. Two-dose recipients amount to 60.5%, at 69,735, and 33.2%, or 38,262, have received boosters.
