The City of Sheboygan will need to close one lane on each of two busy streets, one of those for a week.
This Thursday morning, Northbound South 8th Street traffic will need to detour around the one-block stretch between the 7th and 9th Streets split and Penn Avenue. This is the same section that affected southbound traffic earlier this week but should be limited to the morning hours, reopening today at noon.
A longer one-week closure of the southbound lane of South 17th between Broadway and Union avenues is scheduled for next week to allow for private utility work. While northbound traffic is unaffected, southbound motorists will be routed on Broadway Avenue to South Business Drive. South 17th should fully reopen on Monday, May 2nd.
