Owners of property in Sheboygan that want to challenge their assessed values before the Board of Review will have to wait until September to present their disputes.
The notice of a meeting of the Board of Review issued on Monday indicates that the Board will meet on May 23rd in order to satisfy requirements established by the State of Wisconsin, but because the assessment roll isn’t complete at this time, it will then be adjourned until September 12th.
Deputy City Clerk Melissa Clevenger said that because of that, no disputes over property value assessments will be heard until September. She did advise that in the meantime, anybody with questions on their assessment should contact the Assessor’s Office at any time in advance of the meeting this fall.
