A family disturbance involving a knife in Sheboygan late Wednesday morning has resulted in 2 persons being hospitalized, one seriously.
The Sheboygan Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a woman in need of medical care in the 1800 block of North 21st Street at 10:17 a.m. There, they learned that there’d been a disturbance between two family members that resulted in a 51-year-old Sheboygan Woman being transported to a local hospital for treatment of several lacerations to her back and head.
A 22-year old male, who resides with the woman, initially left before officers arrived, but was found within minutes after they responded. He was reported to have self-inflicted lacerations to his neck and a puncture wound to his chest. Due to the seriousness of his injuries he was eventually taken to Froedtert Hospital for treatment.
The knife involved in the incident, believed at the hands of the male, has been recovered. The situation remains under investigation and criminal charges are expected for the man when he recovers and is cleared to leave the hospital.
