The third death attributed to COVID-19 in Sheboygan County this week has pushed the toll to 265. The latest casualty was someone at least 80 years old. One-hundred-sixteen of octogenarians or older have passed, as have seventy in their 70s, forty-four in their 60s, nineteen in their 50s, nine in their 40s, six in their 30s, and one between 10 and 19 years old.
14 new COVID-19 cases in the county were confirmed on Friday, raising the total to 29,386. With 11 recoveries and the death, the active case count rose only two to 61. The 7-day average of daily new confirmed cases of COVID-19 rose one point to 4.
There were two patients hospitalized out of a total of 1,210 persons that have been so treated during the pandemic, showing no change in figures since Thursday.
72,516 persons, or 62.9% of the county population, have gotten at least one dose with the addition of 10 in the last day. Another 10 received their second dose, raising that total to 69,507, or 60.3%. 32.9%, or 37,916, have received boosters, 26 of those in the last day.
