The Sheboygan Area School District has scheduled a public meeting for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19th in the North High School Commons to talk about the sale of property it owns to Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
An official offer to purchase the 26-acre parcel between Saemann Avenue, Geele Avenue and North Taylor Drive has now been received. At the upcoming meeting, representatives of Froedtert Health will present information about the proposed sale, use of property, and terms of the offer to the public, members the Board of Education and school district administrators.
The public will be given opportunity to comment during the meeting, but no action will be taken at that time. The sale of the property would be placed on the agenda of a future Board of Education Meeting for official action and, if the sale is approved, it will then be presented to the City of Sheboygan for re-zoning and land use when more public comment will be accepted.
