Florencio Alvarez Garza, 76, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday, April 2,
2022. He was born February 2, 1946, in Mexico to the late Cecilio and Magdalena
(Garza) Alvarez. On September 2, 1969, he was united in marriage to Ofelia
Guerrero in Mexico. They celebrated 52 years of marriage. Together they raised
six children: Alejandro (Heather) Alvarez, Esteban (Magali) Alvarez, Nora Cecilia
(Pedro Luiz) Garza, Eduardo (Shana) Alvarez, Fernando Alvarez, and Alfredo
(Griselda) Alvarez.
Florencio worked for Gus Holman as a metal inspector retiring in 2004. He was a
loving husband, father, and grandfather. Florencio enjoyed traveling to Mexico to
visit and spend time with his family and friends. Spending time and creating
lasting memories with his family was truly his passion.
He is further survived by his grandchildren, Brandon, Isabela, and Breeana
Alvarez, Eduardo Alvarez Jr., and Alexander Alvarez. Florencio was preceded in
death by his parents.
Following Florencio’s wishes a private family celebration of his life will be held.
