The Sheboygan Falls mother who allegedly assaulted her 8-year-old son, then intentionally harmed herself on March 30th, has been released from the hospital and is now in jail.
Sheboygan Falls Police Chief Eric Miller said the victim remains a patient at Children’s Hospital in Wauwatosa and is in critical condition. The exact nature of his injuries were not disclosed.
According to police reports, the mother not only assaulted the child on March 30, resulting in the first charge of Attempted Intentional Homicide, but based upon information obtained by witnesses of an unreported previous incident, a second charge of Attempted Intentional Homicide was added.
As of 1:30 p.m. on Friday, the mother has not been charged by the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office, and so there is no criminal complaint available, nor will her name be released.
Chief Miller added in his message that “The members of the Police and Fire Department, City Employees, along with the community, continue to pray for the recovery of the victim in this case.”
