Marlene V. Koeser, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022.
Marlene was born January 29, 1935 to the late Otto and Helena Koppelmann. She attended
Champion Grade School and Howards Grove High School. Marlene worked primarily as a
homemaker and mother of three; and later part-time at Art Imig’s in Sheboygan.
On May 19, 1956, she married Arno Koeser in Haven, WI. They were married for over 62 years
until Arno’s death in early 2019. Marlene lived in the home that Arno designed, built and
enjoyed for over 60 years. Marlene was a devoted Mother and Wife. She has provided her
family with many wonderful food memories, her love of gardening berries, vegetables and
flowers, as well as, items of sewing and needlecrafts that she enjoyed making over the years.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Karen K. (Michael) Meyer of Scotland,
VA, Bryan A. (Kathy) Koeser of Hayward, WI and Rodney B. (Sandy) Koeser of School Hill, WI; as
well as five grandchildren: Karissa (Brandon) Davis, Kassondra (John) Rayho, Joshua Meyer,
Ellen (Chad) Pennings and Alison (Jerimiah) Stano; and five great grandchildren: Presley Davis,
Novella Davis, Hendrix Davis, Bryna Pennings and Brielle Pennings.
In addition to her parents and husband Arno, she is preceded in death by one sister, Lucille
(Melvin) Schreiber and their children, Ronald (Joyce) Schreiber, Marvin (Lois) Schreiber and
Marilyn (Tom) Brickbauer, along with many cousins, uncles and aunts; one brother-in-law,
Edgar (Gertrude) Koeser, and four sister-in-laws: Alma Schueller, Caroline (Hugo) Schreiber,
Erna (Herman) Schultz and Helen Schelk Mattson, as well as a number of nephew and niece in-
laws.
Marlene was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Howards Grove for over 65
years, serving on various committees and offices, including the Historical committee, Ladies Aid
and School Arts & Crafts.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 12:00 Noon at St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church, 441 Millersville Ave. Howards Grove, with Pastor Aaron Mueller officiating. Burial will
follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on
Friday, April1, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the CHURCH.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
