A Friday morning crash has claimed the life of one persons, and sent four others to hospitals for treatment.
The Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received the 9-1-1 call at around 9:42 a.m. on Friday after the two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of State Highway 32 and County Highway “V” in the town of Lima. The caller advised that one vehicle had rolled over, and that a person was trapped.
Responders found five persons injured in all. The driver of the rolled-over vehicle was the only occupant of her vehicle and, despite treatment at the scene, did not survived.
One passenger in the other vehicle was flighted to Childrens’ Hospital in Wauwatosa for a head injury, while the other three passengers were transported to local hospitals for minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the State Patrol and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office. The name of the operator is being withheld until after 10 a.m. on Saturday.
