The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health will transition its distribution of COVID-19 updates from twice weekly, to once weekly on Mondays beginning on March 28. The message said that “Moving forward, the emails and full update will be sent out on Mondays only. In the event there is new COVID information that is time sensitive for our community members, we will send out a one time Status Update with the pertinent content.”
On the last Thursday report, March 24, 29,311 COVID-19 cases had been confirmed in Sheboygan County, a gain of four from the previous day. With seven recoveries, the active case count decreased by three to 85. That matches the previous low last set on July 30, 2021. The 7-day average of new confirmed COVID-19 cases was steady at 2.
Total hospitalizations at 1,204, and current patients at 3, were unchanged from Wednesday.
20 more persons received their first dose of vaccine in the last day, raising that total to 72,420, or 62.8% of the county population. 60.2%, or 69,343, have received at least two doses, 19 more than on Wednesday. 32.6% have received boosters. That amounts to 37,623 persons, 57 more than on Wednesday.
