Wisconsin’s deer herd is a resource that everyone can take part in managing. Although the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources oversees the herd, policy decisions begin at the county level through the DNR’s County Deer Advisory Councils. The public is being invited to attend Sheboygan County’s meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, March 22nd at 7 p.m. The meeting will receive advice and opinions on what hunters and the public at large would like to see concerning management of deer in Sheboygan County, whether that has to do with the hunt, or impacts on forests, agriculture and property. The information gathered will be used to determine quotas for the annual antlerless harvest.
