Curtis Kerwin Miske, 77, of the town of Greenbush, has been called to his heavenly home, on March 14,
2022 after a courageous fight against cancer and congestive heart failure.
Curtis was born and baptized on July 6, 1944, to Arno and Marie (Schultz) Miske. He attended school
through the 10 th grade at Waldo High School. When his father passed away, Curtis would leave high
school to take on the responsibilities of the family farm. On June 27, 1967, Curtis married Ratchel Schulz
and they started their family of four. Curtis’ first job was working for Passini Cheese, delivering milk in
milk cans. Curtis later worked at Lensmire Cheese and retired from Borden/DFA, after thirty-seven
years. Curtis also drove a milk truck for many years for his father-in-law, Albert Schulz’s business, often
with the company of one of his children for the ride.
For leisure, Curtis enjoyed coon-hunting and going to dog trials with his prize winning coon hounds.
Much of his time also went to keeping a hobby and game farm. He ran Miske’s Deer Farm with white-
tail deer, raccoons, arctic foxes, mink, prairie dogs, peacocks, hedgehogs, chinchillas, pheasants, quail,
doves, donkeys, llamas, coyotes, sheep, pygmy goats, pot-bellied pigs, pigeons, chickens, horses, ducks,
geese, rabbits, turkeys and more. Curtis enjoyed when people, family as well as strangers, would stop
by to “take a tour of all the animals.”
Curtis was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Glenbeulah.
Curtis is survived by his wife, Ratchel; three daughters, Tami (Jerry) Vater of Greenbush, WI, Tonia J.
Miske of Milwaukee, WI and Tina (Bob) Ernst of Greenbush, WI; one son, Todd Miske (Shari McWilliams)
of Kewaskum; nine grandchildren, Jaclyn Vater, Tyler Vater (Ashley Curtis), Cruz Miske (Jamie), Austin,
Alex and Dylan Ernst, Paige Miske (Peter Schultz), Trevor Miske (Sarah), Elizabeth Johnson (Christian);
and great grandchildren, Ali, Damien, Harmony, Bently, Annie, Isabel, Rhett, Colton and two more on
the way as well as nieces, nephews, many more family members and friends.

and Helen Schulz; his two brothers, Kermit (Delores) and Charles (Marlene) Miske as well as his two
sisters, Connie (Donald) Stephan and Charlotte (Wallace) Mayer.
