In the early hours of March 15 th Doris was welcomed to Jesus arms in heaven. Doris Florence Laack was
born November 19, 1944. She was the only child of Roland and Elsie (Beck) Laack. She grew up on the
family farm outside of Plymouth. She attended Plymouth High School and graduated in 1963. In 1964
she was united in marriage to her best friend, Richard Beck at the Salem Plankroad United Church of
Christ.
Doris worked alongside Richard on the family farm. She was also a cook at Country Crafts Barn, Adam’s
Rexall, and finished her career as a baker for Wal-Mart. Doris loved to craft, sew, and loved her animals.
She especially liked her Thursday nights out with Richard and friends. She was a general leader for the
Kettle Moraine 4H Club. She belonged to the German Corners Homemakers, and Eastern Wisconsin
Beef Products and Promotors. She loved to go the State and County Fair and enjoyed watching her
children and grandchildren show their animals and other exhibits. She was an avid reader, and active
member of the New Hope Methodist Church.
Doris is survived by her daughter Ann (Carl) Schilling of Sheboygan, son Charles (Samantha) Beck and
their daughter Ashley of Town of Greenbush, son Edward (Denise) Beck and their children Kimberly,
Jared, and Logan of Town of Lyndon. Doris will be remembered for her fiery spirit and her love of
Maggie May.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents, and her Mother and Father in law.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday (March 18, 2022) at New Hope Methodist Church in Greenbush.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 – 6:00pm, with a service to follow at 6:00pm. Pastor Ric Olson will
officiate. Cremation will take place following services and inurnment will be in the Greenbush
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a memorial will be set aside for the Sheboygan County 4H Leaders Association and the
Greenbush Fire Department.
The family would like to thank Songbird Pond where she was a resident for three weeks, Dr. Rench and
Dr. Alimi with Prevea, St. Nicholas Hospital, and Allay Home and Hospice.
