The intensity of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in Sheboygan County continues an ever-slowing decline. The number of active cases has fallen only seven since Monday, and 37 since Friday. 160 cases are now being monitored by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health.
4 new cases were confirmed, while 11 persons recovered in the last day. 29,297 cases in all have been logged here. The 7-day average of new daily confirmed COVID-19 cases remains steady for now at 3.
With no new first-time patients recorded, and current hospitalizations rising by two, some re-hospitalizations were needed and there are now 8 patients. 1,198 persons in all have needed hospital treatment at least once.
62.8% of the county population has received at least one dose of vaccine, 13 more than on Monday, and now totaling 72,337. 69,204 persons, or 60.1%, have received both doses, up 21 from Monday. Another 24 persons received their boosters, raising that total to 37,349, or 32.4%.
