Regular users of Indiana Avenue on Sheboygan’s west side will have to get used to construction and road closures beginning on Tuesday.
The State Department of Transportation will be reconstructing Indiana Avenue, which is also County Trunk Highway “PP”, from Esslingen Park west of Taylor Drive to South 24th Street.
The first stage involves closing the street to westbound traffic for that stretch of the road beginning on Tuesday morning. Those using Indiana to enter Sheboygan from the west will have one lane available, but for now those who usually travel to Kohler on that road will have to use alternate routes. The Taylor Drive intersection will also be reduced to one lane in both directions.
The project is expected to take until November to complete. Meanwhile, City Engineer Ryan Sazama reminded drivers to use caution and slow down in construction zones.
