Three more deaths, the 4th, 5th an 6th this week, were attributed to COVID-19 by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, raising the pandemic toll to 258. One death was someone in their 50s, another in their 60s, and one in their 70s. By age group to date, one was between 10 and 19 years old, six were in their 30s, nine were in their 40s, eighteen were in their 50s (+1), forty-one were in their 60s (+1), sixty-nine (+1) were in their 70s, and one-hundred-fourteen were at least 80 years old.
The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County has fallen to the lowest since 289 were reported lat August 23. 304 cases are now being monitored, 36 fewer than on Tuesday. 12 new cases were added, while 37 recovered.
The 7-day average of new COVID-19 cases in Sheboygan County was most recently measured (Tuesday) at 4, matching that last reported on July 17 of last year.
Three more persons have now needed to be hospitalized at some time for treatment of their COVID-19 symptoms, raising that total to 1,199. Four more patients are in hospital beds compared to Tuesday, with a current total of 13.
The percent of county residents now fully vaccinated has hit the 60% mark as 69,098 have received both doses. That’s an increase of 40 in the last day. Another 34 received their first dose, bringing that total to 72,299, or 62.7%. 32.3%, or 37,171, are now boosted, a gain of 37 over Tuesday’s total.
