Kenneth J. Pluskat, age 80, passed away at his home with his family by his side, on March 5, 2022.
He was born on April 2, 1941, in Sheboygan to the late Walter and Carita (Hoppe) Pluskat. He graduated
from North High School and earned an associates degree in law enforcement at LTC. Ken proudly served
his country in the United States Air Force as a pilot. He was a private pilot, training at General Mitchell
Field and that is where he met Kathleen Stewart. They were married in 1971 and their favorite past
time was flying planes together. Kathleen preceded him in death on May 15, 2019.
Ken was a deputy on the Sheboygan Police Department for over 10 years. After retiring, he worked at
Kohler Company as a security guard.
Ken enjoyed civil war memorabilia, reenactments and published a book on civil war diaries. He also
enjoyed birdwatching and drawing. His favorite activities included fishing, camping and target practice
at local shooting ranges, earning many medals.
He is survived by his children, Kristopher Pluskat and Karen (Jesse) Lawrence; a sister, Patty (John)
Koehn and a sister-in-law, Marlene Pluskat; nieces, nephews, other family and friends further survive.
Along with his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a brother Donald Pluskat.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ken on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 1:00 PM with military
honors to follow, at St. Dominic Parish Catholic Church, 2133 N 22nd St. in Sheboygan, with Father
Norbert Sandoval officiating. The family will greet visitors at church on Monday from NOON until the

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ken’s name.
