Arthur J. Zeman, 91, of Crivitz, WI, formerly of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Heritage Deer Creek in New Berlin, WI surrounded by his family.
Born June 13, 1930 in Maribel, WI, Arthur was a son of the late Charles and Margaret Braun Zeman. He attended Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School. He went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he was united in marriage to Marlene L. Stiedeman at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church on July 2, 1955.
Arthur was a foreman at R-Way Furniture Company for 29 years before his retirement. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and a member of Our Lady of the Rosary, Council #722 of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Pine Club and Smerkes Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and playing golf. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends at the cabin he built in Crivitz. He also volunteered with the Boy Scouts in Sheboygan County.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marlene; his children, Michael (Paula) Zeman, Sheboygan Falls, Linda (George) Zahn, Waukesha, Peter (fiancé Bonnie Dixon) Zeman, Havelock, NC, David (Marie Ninmer) Zeman, Sheboygan; nine grandchildren, Dana (friend Cassie) Zeman, Andrew Zeman, George (Trish) Zahn, Kevin (Laura) Zahn, Brandon (Emma) Zahn, Matthew (Olivia) Zeman, Michelle (Rob) Lewis, Christopher Zeman, and Zachary (Danielle) Zeman; 15 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Zeman, and his sister, Annette Zeman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 21st & Geele Avenue. Family and friends are welcome at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Entombment will take place in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum.
Memorials in Arthur’s name may be made to the conservation organization of your choice.
