William C. Samse Sr., 84, of the town of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Thursday
afternoon March 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
William was born on January 20, 1938 in Sheboygan Falls. Son to the late Charles and
Blanche (DeSmidt) Samse. He attended school in Plymouth and later served in the
National Guard. He was united in marriage to Barbara (Mischo) who preceded him in
death in 1958. William farmed in the town of Sheboygan Falls and enjoyed gardening,
bird watching, and traveling. Through the summer months he enjoyed going to county
fairs throughout the state. Friends and family will remember his witty sense of humor.
William is survived by his three children, William Samse Jr. (and his significant other
Brenda Stroessner), Timothy and his wife Jill Samse, both of rural Sheboygan Falls,
and Dawn Kolberg of Sheboygan (and her significant other Ted Malueg of Oostburg); a
sister, Naoma Andersen of Wild Rose; seven grandchildren, Jacqueline Samse,
Vanessa Samse, Sarah Samse (Mike Radke), Alexander Samse, and Brenden Samse,
Chrystal Kolberg (Chris Schmitz), and Nichole (Nigel) Lewandoske; and seven great
grandchildren, Jaidin Thiex, Jaxen Schmitz, Nixon Lewandoske, Bailey Samse, Roman
and Isaac Alcantara Samse, and Jacob Moesch.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edith (and
brother-in-law Henry Menzer); a brother-in-law, Donald Andersen; a daughter-in-law,
Rose Samse; and a great granddaughter, Violet Alcantara.
A memorial service for William Samse, Sr. will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, March 9
at the Chapel of Eternal Light at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave. Kohler,
with Rev. Ric Olson officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery. Friends may gather at
the chapel from 1:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm.
William’s family would like to extend their gratitude and appreciation to St. Nicholas
Home Health and Hospice especially Becca. Their care and compassion will be
remembered.
