(WHBL) – The family of the young man accused of opening fire in a Milwaukee police headquarters says he had a mental breakdown.
Darreon Parker-Bell’s family said on Monday he was distraught over the in-custody death of his close friend when he walked into the District 5 headquarters on Friday and started shooting. Milwaukee Police say it looks like Parker-Bell’s friend died from a drug overdose.
Parker-Bell is recovering from being shot by police after he opened fire. He’s expected to be hit with a long list of charges once he’s released from the hospital.
