When a burglary is solved, arrests are made and stolen goods are recovered, those items sometimes can’t be traced to the rightful owner. That’s exactly what Sheboygan Police Detective Brandon Kehoe is dealing with after a series of garage burglaries that occurred over the last few months.
Kehoe says the SPD is asking victims of these burglaries to contact them so items can be returned. Some of those include bicycles by Fuji, Schwinn and Kent, electric hover boards, and an extension ladder among others.
Detective Kehoe emphasized how important it is to keep a record of serial numbers by taking pictures when purchased and archiving them in a safe spot, and engraving the items with identifiable marks. That way police can more easily get the items back where they belong.
If you were the victim of a theft or burglary over the last few months and haven’t reported it, Kehoe wants you to call him at 920-459-4267 to determine if some of the recovered property belongs to you.
